Months of the Year Afghan
In 2003, I made a square to represent each month and made a small afghan (or lapghan) with the squares.
Here is a full picture of it, and the individual squares and their patterns (if available online).
Some patterns I followed exactly, others were designed for smaller sizes, I just either kept the pattern going
or made up rows as I went. I really had fun doing this, and it's a nice and colorful afghan for the whole year.
For each square, I did an edge with black, dc all around with 5 dc in corners. I whip stitched the
squares together in back loops only. Once assembled, the edging is 2 rounds. Round 1: with white, dc in each
dc around and 5 dc in each corner. Round 2: join black to any corner dc, (dc, ch1) 4 times and dc once more in corner,
[skip dc, sc in next dc, skip next dc, (dc, ch 1) 4 times and dc once more in next dc] to corner and continue around.
Finish off.
