A little more complicated, but it turns out GREAT! And, even if you do miss count, it really doesn't matter because the flecks are supposed to appear randomly. And, these colors can be any 3 contrasting colors. Looks good with CA as a dark color and the CB and CC as lighter colors.

Materials:
H hook
3 colors of Worsted Weight Yarn
CA - Ecru
CB - Gold
CC - Maroon
LSC: Long sc - work sc in the skipped sc below current row.

With CA, ch 4, join
Round 1: Ch 3, 2dc, ch 3, (3dc, ch 3) 3 times, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 3.
Round 2: Sl st to corner, ch 1 [3sc in corner, sc in each dc across] 4 times, join to 1st sc. Finish off CA
Round 3: Join CB to any corner, ch 1 [3 sc in corner, (ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 2 times, ch 1, skip next sc] 4 times, join to 1st sc. Finish off CB
Round 4: Join CC to any corner, ch 1 [3 sc in corner, sc in next sc, LSC in skipped sc of row 3, ch 1, skip next sc, LSC in next skipped sc of row 3, ch 1, skip next sc, LSC in next skipped sc of row 3, sc in next sc] 4 times, join to 1st sc. Finish Off CC
Round 5: Join CB to any corner, ch 1, [3 sc in corner, sc in next 3 st, LSC in next skipped st of row 4, sc in next st, LSC in next skipped st of row 4, sc in next 3 st] 4 times, join to 1st sc. Finish off CB
Round 6: Join CA to any corner, (ch 3, dc, ch 3, 2dc) in corner [* dc in each sc across*, (2dc, ch 3, 2dc) in corner] 3 times and * to * once more, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Finish off CA
Round 7: Join CB to any corner, ch 1, [3 sc in corner, (sc, ch 1, skip next dc) 7 times, sc in next dc] 4 times, join to 1st sc. Finish off CB
Round 8: Join CC to any corner, ch 1, [3 sc in corner, ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next sc, LSC in next skipped st of row 7, sc in next sc , LSC in next skipped st of row 7, (ch 1, skip, LSC in next skipped st of row 7) 4 times, sc in next sc, LSC in next skipped st of row 7, sc in next sc, ch1, skip next sc] 4 times, join to 1st sc. Finish off CC
Round 9: Join CB to any corner, ch 1, [3 sc in corner, sc in next st, LSC in next skipped st of row 8, sc in next 4 st, (LSC in next skipped st of row 8, sc in next st) 4 x, sc in next 3 st, LSC in next skipped st of row 8, sc in next st] 4 times, join to 1st sc. Finish off CB.
Round 10: Join CA to any corner, (ch 3, dc, ch 3, 2dc) in corner [*dc in each st across*, (2dc, ch 3, 2dc) in corner] 3 times and * to * once more, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Finish Off. Sit back, take a deep breath, and admire this complicated pattern that you just made!!!
