Sports Pennant Fridgie
My niece started school at Texas State in San Marcus this fall, and she has a mini-fridge, so naturally, she asked me to make her some fridgies! I thought this was cool! I'll make an Aggie one soon!!!
 
Materials:
G hook
2 school colors of your choice of worsted weight yarn
yarn needle
Hot glue and a magnet
 
Row 1: With school main color, Ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook, and each hook across (10sc) ch 1, turn
Row 2: sc dec in 1st 2 sc, sc in next 6 sc, sc dec in last 2 sc, ch 1 turn. (8 st)
Row 3: sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn
Row 4: sc dec in 1st 2 sc, sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (7 st)
Row 5: sc in next 5 st, sc dec in last 2 sc, ch 1, turn (6 st)
Row 6: sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn
Row 7: sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn
Row 8: sc dec in 1st 2 sc, sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (5 st)
Row 9: sc in next 3 sc, sc dec in last 2 sc, ch 1, turn (4 st)
Row 10: sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn
Row 11: sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn
Row 12: sc dec in 1st 2 sc, sc dec in last 2 sc, ch 1, turn (2 st)
Row 13: sc in each st across, ch 1, turn
Row 14: sc dec in 1st 2 sc, finish off.

With contrasting school color, double up a length of yarn on yarn needle and stitch school logo or name on pennant.

Fringe (optional)
Cut 10 2 inch pieces of contrasting school color. Insert hook in open loops of beg chain, fold piece in half and pull thru just enough to have a loop thru, pull free ends thru to make fringe
