Ch 4, 11 dc in 4th ch from hook, join. (12 dc)
Round 1: ch 3, dc in same st as joining, 2 dc in each remaining dc around, join (24 dc)
Round 2: ch 3, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc) around, ending with 2 dc in last dc, join in back loop of 1st dc. (36 dc)
Round 3: (in back loops for this round only) ch 1, sc in same as joining, sc in each dc around, join. (36 sc)
Rounds 4-7: ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc around, join. (36 dc)
(optional) At end of round 7, join, ch 12 (for loop), sl in same as joining. Finish off.
